About Escape House

WHAT?

One team, one mission, one hour to complete it and escape… That’s the concept behind Escape Rooms, which can best be explained as a thematic experience made up of immersive set designs, thrilling mysteries/missions and a well thought out mix of old school and tech savvy elements including riddles, symbols and gadgets. 

To complete, you need teamwork, communication and creative thinking, and most of all it is just fun, a great ‘ice breaker’ and a cool experience you will continue talking about… 

WHO?

Escape Rooms are for everyone – whether you are on a date, bachelor party, are having a night out with colleagues, your badminton team, a group of old friends, if you’re a tourist or a company looking for a fun teambuilding activity. You just need to show up in your regular clothes. Have someone on your team already visited us? Fear not; we change our rooms and themes regularly, so chances are this will be a brand new experience for them as well. 

HOW?

We are able to accommodate 21 contestants at a time – if you are more, you must book several time slots in a row, divide yourselves into smaller teams, and take turns trying. 

We suggest that the waiting teams stroll across the street and enjoy a beer or coffee in one of the many cafés and bars on the street.

We have a partner deal with Fox and Hounds, where you get 10% discount on your entire order in connection with visiting our Escape House. 

WHEN?
You decide! Our opening hours are Monday-Wednesday 12.30-20 and Thursday-Saturday 12.30—23. If you are a large group, school class, company etc., we will probably be able to accommodate you outside of our opening hours as well – write us an e-mail and we will find a solution. 

PAYMENT:
We unfortunately don’t accept payment by credit card, so payment is via MobilePay, cash or (ean)invoice. Due to a growing number of ‘no-shows’, we will – effective from February 10th 2024, be asking for a deposit of DKK 600 (equilant to the payment of 3 players) for all groups over 6 people, when confirming their booking. Thank you for your understanding.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:
Participation in our Escape Room activities is at your own risk, however, we guarantee top notch security, and we are always able to accommodate special needs like claustrophobia etc. It is entirely up to your team to decide whether you want the door physically locked or unlocked. 

There is nothing dangerous inside our rooms, and nothing alive. There are always light sources available inside the rooms. First and foremost it is just fun and games, challenging – and a new way to spend time together (where everyone are completely offline for an entire hour!)…

Being that the game is offline, means that all contestants are asked to place their mobile phones in a box upon arrival. The box follows you inside the room, and you oversee it yourselves the whole time. 

We don’t allow alcohol inside the rooms, and if contestants show up very drunk, we reserve ourselves the right to deny them at the door. 

GIFT CERTIFICATES:
Naturally we offer gift certificates to our Escape House, so if you are looking for a great experience in Sønderborg to gift to someone in your life, you are welcome to contact us during our opening hours and we will set it up. Gift certificates are valid 2 years from the issue date.
